Grab your camera and join a small group of keen photographers as we travel in a minivan around various interesting locations near Warkworth. This trail will provide opportunities to capture a diversity of photographic genres, with tips and challenges along the way from local photographer Karen Williamson.
We begin at the Whangateau boat sheds, visit a local display garden and end our journey at the Matakana Farmers Market, some fascinating and photogenic stops that will have you snapping happily.
When you have taken all the photos you can manage, we'll retire to the Matakana Market Kitchen for lunch, photo viewing if possible and discussion. (Lunch is not included in the cost and can be paid for when we finish at MMK. That way, you can have whatever you like).
Suitable for SLR or compact camera (preferably not phone cameras). A tripod would be useful, don’t forget spare memory cards and batteries and gumboots if you wish to walk the mudflats.
