Our Home Base is the New Masonic Hall (same as last year), above Westpac Bank, Baxter St, Warkworth.
Important!
Report for your walk at the New Masonic Hall no later than notified time. It is upstairs above the Westpac Bank. (Our base is the same as last year.) Entrance is from the parking building off Neville St, or use the stairs on Baxter Street next to Westpac.
The bus schedules are tight so we cannot wait for late arrivers.
Approximate walk duration times quoted are from Warkworth to Warkworth.
Coffee and snacks are available at many of the nearby cafes – just ask one of our volunteers if you are unsure of where to go. Also, remember to take your wallet on your walk so that you can purchase a few bottles of wine, olive oil, icecream, macadamias, etc. that appear in our walks.
Parking
Allow plenty of time to find a car park before the walk and please don’t park in the New World or Countdown car parks. These spaces are controlled and reserved for their customers. Also beware, the parking wardens are very active on weekdays (for Friday walkers) in the controlled street parking areas around the village shops. There is plenty of free, unlimited-time parking on the side streets (see map below) a few minutes away from our home base at the New Masonic Hall. These free parking areas are shaded yellow on the map. Warm up for your walk by parking on the periphery of the village :-)
